Breville Coffe Maker Review
The Breville coffee maker is pretty much identical in features to the Keurig B70 “Platinum” and the Cuisinart SS700. Deciding between these three largely comes down to price and personal preference.

Let’s start by looking at the key features in the Breville BKC700XL coffee maker. It lets you choose from 5 brew sizes, ranging from the tiny 4 ounce drop to the massive 12 ounce option. This gives you great flexibility for your morning cup of joe. Just keep in mind that at the larger settings, you will be sacrificing some of the coffee’s strength, since you’re using a lot of water and there’s only so much coffee that can fit into a k cup.

A second feature on the Breville k cup machine is the 60oz water reservoir. While this is not as large as the Cuisinart SS700’s whopping 80oz tank, it is likely sufficient for most households.

The third feature of the Breville k cup brewer is the option to adjust the brew temperature between 187 and 192 degrees (192 degrees is default). This isn’t a huge deal, but it is nice to know that the option is there.

The fourth feature on this brewer is that Breville decided to include the My K Cup, which has its own storage compartment at the top of the brewer. This is a great touch if use the My K Cup.

The final feature of this brewer is the classic stainless steel design. The machine simply looks great, and we think this is what really sets it apart from the Keurig B70 and the Cuisinart SS700. Beauty, of course, is in the eye of the beholder, so see if you agree.

Reliability is of vital importance here at OneCupCoffeeSource. Overall, this is a solidly built machine. We have received a few emails from folks whose machines had quit working due to pump issues; however, complaints like this are relatively rare.

Breville offers a 1 year limited warranty. We prefer the Cuisinart SS700's 3 year warranty, but as is often the case with electronics, if the product is going to fail on you, it will most likely be within the first 90 days. Breville’s warranty covers this dangerous period and then some.

Customer Service
Breville’s customer service is excellent. Should you run into any problems with your Breville coffee maker, their customer support team will make sure that you’re well taken care of. In the survey’s that we’ve taken, Breville has ranked slightly behind Keurig in terms of customer support, but not by much.

Bottom Line
The Breville coffee maker is one the elite k cup brewers and is definitely worthy of consideration. This unit retails for $249.95. It is the perfect choice for someone who doesn’t mind spending an extra $100 for a k cup brewer with all the bells and whistles.
